RCN has specialised for years in the recovery of wrecks, both for the rescue and repair of the ship, and for its demolition and disposal.
The recovery of a wreck is an extremely complex activity both in terms of planning and execution.
Each recovery of a boat is a project in itself, which begins with an investigation and a survey as precise as possible, the result of the survey must allow to minimize unforeseen events, to limit costs and the risks of success.
Each recovery of a boat is a project in itself, which begins with an investigation and a survey as precise as possible, the result of the survey must allow to minimize unforeseen events, to limit costs and the risks of success.
Over the years, RCN has established a strategic partnership with BIOSURVEY and Italian company founded in 2008 by an academic spinoff of the University of Palermo, which is highly specialised in this kind of surveys.
The demolition and disposal of a ship are very complex activities as well that can vary enormously depending on the size, condition, location and accessibility of the ship. RCN has gained extensive experience in solving all problems relating to these activities.
Thanks to consolidated collaborations with BIOSURVEY, we are able to perform initial surveys aimed at describing the essential characteristics of the ship to be demolished and planning all the activities necessary for the recovery of the wreck, the transfer to the spaces intended for demolition and execution of the actual material demolition.
Here follows a small selection on pictures of just some of the ships we have been working on. Most of the other wrecks are not mentioned due to privacy reason.
